Personally when I read this quote my first reaction is that I am not travelling because I’m ‘lost’ and trying to find myself, which is such a common travel cliche. My first thought is I travel because that is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life right now. Like some have chosen to go to university, or enter the military, I travel.

Ps. I may have also chosen this quote because the entire trilogy, which took 8 years, was filmed in New Zealand. Which is where the director, Peter Jackson, is from. For those of you who don’t know, I’m moving to New Zealand in 9 months!
